WotaYagi is usually the name I go by these days on the internet. I used to use the name Ivysaur98 but as I slightly faded away from Pokemon, and with a slight change of interests and nicknames in the real world, I changed to WotaYagi.
There is an actual meaning to the name WotaYagi, unlike Ivysaur98. The meaning of WotaYagi is a simple, and slightly personal, combination of 'Wota' and 'Yagi' (hence the capitalisations). 'Wota' is a term used to describe fans of Japanese 'idol' groups and the 'idols' that are the members, such as Hello! Project (which I like) and AKB48 (which I do not like). As a fan of Hello! Project (my favourite group is °C-ute) the term 'wota' is a suitable for a person such as myself. 'Yagi' comes from one of my real life nicknames, which is, Yagi. 'Yagi' is the Japanese word for goat, and as a result of the events that occurred in a rough May to July period in 2012, I ended up with that nickname.
Anyway, I live in Australia, and have managed to go to Japan for a few weeks. Unfortunately as a result of the timing of the event, I did not get to attend any H!P events, but I purchased a large amount of H!P goods, CDs, DVDs and the like. I really want to go back to Japan, so I should save up, but there's so much stuff I want to buy as well. Oh the turmoil!
I don't watch much on an actual TV these days. Usually the only things I will watch are DVDs, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Japanese News on the SBS channel (so I can test my Japanese listening skills). I don't watch reality TV, except for the odd competiton show. My favourite types of books are comics and manga, mainly because I have a bit of a hard time focusing on books like novels.
My favourite things (and the things I usually talk about) are: Hello! Project, My Little Pony, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Duke Nukem and Pokemon. My favourite Hello! Project group is °C-ute, and my favourite member is Okai Chisato (for those who are unaware, the Japanese always put family names before given names, thus Okai is her family name and Chisato is her given name). My favourite forms of the My Little Pony cartoons are the original G1 series, My Little Pony Tales (a G1 spinoff) and Friendship is Magic (G4). Although I will occasionally watch the G3 animations, I don't really care too much for them, and tend to avoid G3.5. I like all the Teenage Mutant Ninja animations, as they are all very different from each other, and it was the 2003 series that I found th franchise through.
That's enough about me for now.
~WotaYagi.
