A few days ago I finally got onto buying the TMNT game on iTunes, Rooftop Run. It's basically like Temple Run and similar games where you have see how far you can get. However, in Rooftop Run, you have to take out the Foot / Bugs / Kraang (depending on the zone) and collect energy orbs. Energy orbs are very important in the game, as running out of energy will lead to you being taken by a Kraang ship, and filling the energy bar will allow you to access Turtle Time, where if you complete the combos, you will see a zone change and different enemies will appear. Turtle Time is pretty easy, you just have to tap the targets before they disappear, and it gets gradually harder. I think it's six combos in each Turtle Time. Turtle Time also allows you to get more coins.
What happens when you load the game on your device, you get to pick one of the four turtles - Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello or Michelangelo. Keep in mind that this is going to be the turtle you could be playing as for a very long time, as the other three, as well as Dogpound, and now April, become locked and you have to earn coins by playing the game to unlock them. You can also use coins to purchase 'upgrades' for your turtle. Luckily, after practice, you should become good at the game and earn coins rather quickly.
When I picked my turtle, as usual, I chose Michelangelo, for two reasons: I generally prefer his fighting style in the other games where the four turtles have 'different' fighting styles, and he's my favourite turtle, alongside Donatello. Anyway, I haven't purchased anything, so I don't know what the upgrades or other characters do, but I'm guessing each character has their own phrases, as I sometimes hear Michelangelo saying things like "Booyakasha!!", "That's what you get for messin' with Mikey" and "Feel my hot nunchuck fury!!". I've found at the end of the third zone, which is a Kraang zone, there's a boss battle, and after that there's another Foot zone. That's as far as I managed to get so far, but at the moment of GameCenter I'm in the top 5% of all players.
Overall, I think the game is very good, and I give it 9/10, as sometimes I think it gets a little repetitive, and the voices could be a little louder. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run is availiable on all iOS devices, and is around $4.49.
